Central Greece — The Land Around Casa Cinque

There are places in Greece that do not need to compete for attention.

Central Greece is one of them.

Mountains, fertile plains, small villages, olive groves, thermal springs and places shaped by thousands of years of history coexist in a region that many travellers cross — but do not always stop long enough to truly discover.

Somewhere here, near Lamia, Casa Cinque is taking shape.

A Different Greece

The Greece most visitors first imagine is usually by the sea.

The Greece of Central Greece is different.

It is the Greece of the land: mountains and cultivation, small producers, seasonal ingredients and tables that still reflect the place in which they are prepared.

This relationship with the land is one of the ideas at the heart of Casa Cinque.

At a Crossroads of Greece

Lamia sits at a natural crossroads between northern and southern Greece.

Within a relatively small radius, the landscape changes repeatedly — from historic sites and mountain routes to agricultural areas and quiet villages.

Thermopylae is nearby. To the south, the road leads toward Mount Parnassus and Delphi. Further north and west, the Greek mainland changes character again as mountains, villages and rural landscapes replace the rhythm of the major cities.

Casa Cinque was not conceived as another place to visit quickly.

It is being developed as a starting point for discovering this part of Greece more slowly.

Taste as a Way to Understand a Place

For us, a place is not explained only by a map.

It can also be understood through its table.

A local cheese. An olive oil. A wine. A herb. A loaf of bread from the oven.

Each one carries a story of people, climate, season and tradition.

This is how we want guests to discover the area around Casa Cinque: not as a checklist of attractions, but through experiences that create a connection with the place.

From Athens to the Greek Mainland

Cinque began in Athens.

In Psirri and later in Monastiraki, Greek wine became our way of taking guests across Greece without leaving the city.

Casa Cinque takes the next step.

From the glass, we return to the place itself — to the land, the producers, the seasons, cooking and the time an experience needs in order to become a memory.

Casa Cinque

Casa Cinque is planned to open between October and December 2027.

It is being developed as a guest house and private hospitality space for small groups, with experiences built around Greek wine, extra virgin olive oil, local products, cooking and life in the Greek countryside.

Not a quick stop.

A different way to get to know Greece.
